They're a staple when in Metairie. I always get my salmon w/ no pineapple & garlic butter. It's always good, the potatoes are really good, they have good charbroiled oysters & the lemon drop was good too.

We were here to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a large party of about 14 people. They refused to seat us until most of our party arrived. We called ahead but they do not take reservations. And, they told us they could only split the check two times. They had done some nice renovations to open the place up and accommodate people so our party should not have been split up into two tables. The split made our group feel somewhat disconnected. This restaurant is one of my mom's favorites because the food almost never disappoints and this time was no exception. We ordered all of the appetizers on the menu. The char grilled oysters were slightly over done. And, everyone chose their own entrees. The waitress refused to accommodate how we wanted to split the check and she really could have used some help. She seemed kind of overwhelmed but kept a nice professional attitude.

I've been here before but has been awhile. The place was packed but thankfully didn't have to wait. The food was excellent! The service was outstanding! The place is nice, I love their fountain outside area. I'll definitely be back!

First time trying here but we will be back. Waitress was really nice and did a good job of getting things out to us. Great menu. I ordered the catfish lousianne and my wife got a blackened shrimp pasta as the main dish. The crawfish sauce/etouffee was great and catfish was too. I also tried the shrimp pasta and it was great. We also had the voodoo rolls that was probably my favorite. Creamy crawfish mixture with cheese in an egg roll casing halved. Will definitely get that again. Only complaint was it was pretty loud in the main dining area we could barely talk and hear each other over noise of the crowd in the room. A few big groups but not sure if different design or something could make it a little more quiet that way you could conversate without having to speak louder. Overall great. Will be back for the food and drinks.

We ended up here by mistake, but so glad we did. It was rainy outside, but warm with hospitality inside. They have a full bar , so while waiting to be seated we partook. Great Bloody Mary. One of the family members waited on us and was fantastic, she recommended stuff we would not normally try, brought out potato salad ( yum)! So glad we stumbled across you!

I've been here many times and have yet to do a review. I consider New Orleans Food and Spirits a less touristy staple in the area. Locals love it and for good reason. They have some of the best chargrilled oysters by far, and their entrees are consistently good! My favorite menu item is the swamp pasta; it's literally perfect and portioned generously. It seems that they recently renovated the place, and it looks nicely done. I've never had an issue with a server here, however they can get pretty packed/slow service on the weekends. Literally, you could be waiting 1+ hour for a table. But again, the food is consistently good.

This place is DEEEELICIOUS! I mean everything we ate was soooooo freaking good. We had onion rings, hush puppies and chargrilled oysters to start. Omg! Even the kids were eating them up. My mouth is watering thinking about the oysters. Then I got the eggplant crawfish special that they serve in fridays and I mean....this was perfect. It was spicy and full of flavor. The eggplant was fried perfectly. My 2 year old was trying to eat it all even though it was spicy, it was like she couldn't get enough. The restaurant was pretty and big, I liked the two bar options. Very spacious. I also like the outdoor area to wait and hangout.
